Privacy

How Zimbabwe Cricket handles information collected through this safeguarding platform.

Confidential reports

When you report with your name and contact details, that information is visible only to authorised safeguarding personnel with a defined role in your case. It is never combined with general website analytics or shared beyond what's necessary to review and respond to your report.

Anonymous reports

The anonymous reporting form does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or an account. Zimbabwe Cricket's platform is designed so that anonymity is protected by how the system is built, not only by a checkbox:

  • Anonymous reports are not linked to a user account.
  • Technical metadata (such as IP addresses) is not shown to ordinary safeguarding case handlers, and is isolated from case records where retained at all.
  • Your case reference and follow-up code are generated using cryptographically secure randomisation — never sequential, never derived from your report content.

Anonymity has natural limits: if you choose to include identifying details in your own written report or uploaded files, Zimbabwe Cricket cannot un-know what you've shared.

Website analytics

Zimbabwe Cricket collects aggregate, privacy-conscious analytics about how this website is used — such as approximate geographic trends and popular pages — to improve the platform. Analytics data is kept separate from safeguarding case data and is never used to identify or profile anonymous reporters.
